Zepbound Weight-Loss Treatment
Zepbound is a once-weekly tirzepatide injection indicated for chronic weight management in eligible patients and for moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea in certain adults with obesity.
Weight management and sleep apnea
The FDA approved Zepbound for moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity in combination with reduced-calorie nutrition and increased physical activity. It does not automatically replace PAP or other indicated sleep treatment; sleep follow-up remains important.

Safety and follow-up
Zepbound contains tirzepatide and should not be combined with another tirzepatide-containing product or GLP-1 receptor agonist. Review thyroid tumor history, pregnancy, pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney risk, severe gastrointestinal symptoms, diabetes drugs and planned anesthesia. Gastrointestinal adverse effects are common.
Follow-up evaluates response, tolerance, nutrition, hydration, bowel symptoms, blood pressure or laboratory information when relevant, activity, lean-mass goals and maintenance planning. Dose escalation is not automatic.
