Cellulite Treatment
Cellulite is common and harmless. Treatment aims to improve its appearance rather than cure a disease, and the amount and duration of improvement vary.

Why cellulite appears
Cellulite reflects the interaction of skin, connective tissue and underlying fat. It can occur across a wide range of body sizes and does not mean that a person is unhealthy.
Radiofrequency-based care
W8MD may use non-invasive radiofrequency technology for selected cellulite or skin-texture concerns. The consultation should distinguish cellulite from skin laxity, localized fat and other concerns because the expected response differs.
Realistic expectations
Changes are generally cosmetic and may be modest or temporary. Maintenance sessions may be discussed.
Safety review
Medical history, pregnancy status, implanted devices, skin condition, sensation, prior procedures and treatment-area concerns are reviewed.
Starting price
Cellulite treatment starts from $250 per session, depending on area and plan.
Possible adverse effects include discomfort, redness, swelling, bruising, burns, pigment changes and unsatisfactory results. Learn more from the FDA’s non-invasive body contouring guidance.
How W8MD can help
W8MD reviews goals, medical history, medications, prior procedures, treatment-area findings, likely benefit, risks, alternatives, expected downtime and cost before recommending care. Service and clinician availability may differ between offices.
