Safety and follow-up
Medication selection must consider pregnancy, cardiovascular history, blood pressure, seizure risk, opioid use, glaucoma, eating disorders, gastrointestinal disease, kidney or liver issues, other prescriptions and prior adverse reactions. The relevant prescribing information controls.
Follow-up evaluates response, tolerance, nutrition, hydration, bowel symptoms, blood pressure or laboratory information when relevant, activity, lean-mass goals and maintenance planning. Dose escalation is not automatic.
