Photofacials
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), popularly called the photofacials, are non-invasive skin treatments using the principle of photorejuvination process represent a breakthrough in skin care that helps slow down and reverse age related changes.
This new technique called IPL treats skin damage via exposure to the Sun non-invasively meaning there is no disruption of the skin’s epidermal surface. IPL photfacial treatments address the effects of photoaging and sun damage with low risk of complications and no recovery time.
FDA approved therapy
IPL is an FDA approved technology that is considered the gold standard for photorejuvenation or photofacials. This patented technology invented by Luminis provides dramatic results for a variety of benign skin conditions, including age spots, sun-induced freckles, symptoms of rosacea, birthmarks, unsightly veins, acne scarring and other blemishes.
Photoaging
As we all know, aging is a natural and unavoidable process that affects all of us. However, there are many things we can do to age more gracefully using new technology that can help slow the process and improve skin tone, texture and color. The visible signs of aging cannot be fully avoided, but can be dramatically minimized using new technology.
What makes IPL Photofacials a “lunch time” procedure?
Photorejuvenation with IPL is the most versatile of all treatment options. Patients often schedule appointments during their lunch hours. IPL can treat numerous skin conditions at once. It is effective on red blemishes that originate from blood vessels, as well as brown pigment blemishes in the form of freckles, age spots and other sun damage. IPL also treats the neck, chest and hands, where sun damage is often most visible.
The IPL system releases yellow, green and red lights that are emitted in a series of short pulses. The yellow/green light destroys the bacteria which causes acne that thrives in our skin, while the red light directly targets the overactive sebaceous glands that cause outbreaks of pustules. The light conversion to heat is targeted accurately to the cells deep in the skin, initiating shrinkage of the inflamed sebaceous glands which helps to prevent over-production of excess sebum. In addition, IPL treatment is effecting in correcting common skin pigmentation problems such as age spots, sun-induced freckles, and symptoms of rosacea, birthmarks, and unsightlyveins, acne scarring and other blemishes.
The IPL is a non-invasive proven skin therapy based on emitting high intensity pulses of light to penetrate the skin and lift out various skin imperfections. IPL treatments are used to treat over 40 different skin conditions including permanent hair reduction, rasacea treatment, telangiectasis, blood vessels, brown spots, scars, acne, veins and many other skin problems.
